To kick off 2019-2020 (our 24th year of singing together!), we’re delighted to be performing at the Aga Khan Museum as part of the event Arrivals and Encounters: Sama for Nuit Blanche 2019.
We will sing two 30-minute sets in the very early hours of the morning on Sunday October 6: the 1st set at 12:15am and the 2nd set at 1:00am, in a Mongolian yurt located on the museum grounds. It promises to be a beautiful and magical event – we hope to see you there!

Arrivals and Encounters: Sama
Sunday October 6 at 12:15am and at 1:00am
Admission is free

About Sama: Experience music and art from around the world in intimate settings — including Mongolian yurts and a First Nations’ teepee. Sama, Arabic for listening, is the night’s inspiration, and you will be invited to listen to the rhythms and stories of artists whose roots extend around the globe.
Each setting will offer a different experience, including a space dedicated to the music of a sleepless city. Another will feature distinct musical languages from cross-cultural experiments. And yet another site will take you deep into urban life with a virtual reality installation.
Sacred spiritual music and dance, including whirling dervishes, in quiet locations will evoke the city’s contemplative side.
Finally, the outdoor areas will play host to an illuminated sound installation, offering you the chance to experience art while feeling the pulse of the arrivals and encounters that shape this city.
